How do you put your social media to work for your mobile marketing campaigns?
Social media has become the backbone of marketing. You can’t expect your app to get off the ground without it. In 2015, there are at least 3.5 billion mobile phone users on the internet via their smartphones and tablets. These people live, eat, and breathe their phones at a rate that no one before has ever done.
Due to the more on-the-go nature of these people, almost everything that they focus on is on their phones. And yes, that includes socializing. 89% of adults aged 18 to 29 are active on some form of social media. By active, I mean that these people are regular users of social media. They tweet, text, and talk about things that catch their attention on their different social media accounts. And of course… they share content. Whether it’s a reblog on Tumblr, sharing on Facebook, pinning on Pinterest, or retweeting on Twitter, people live to share content. If consumers enjoy something, they will talk about it. They will share it. Part of marketing your mobile app prior to its release is creating and sharing content that your customers and fans will be happy to share with their friends.
How do you use social media to market your business?
Let’s start with the basics:
First – if you don’t have an in-house graphic designer, your app developer will most likely have one. Here at NPSAPPS, we have a dedicated team of graphic designers with decades of experience between them and specific fields that they excel at as individuals. These graphic designers can be hired to create digital promotional material that can be used to drum up interest for your app on social media.
What can these promotional materials look like?
Well, that depends on what you want from the advertising team. Do you want a cartoon image or an image that only has a mockup of a mobile phone with your app and a QR code?
Second – Scheduled tweets and Facebook posts. If you don’t have a dedicated social media manager or someone in charge of your account you can use a service or see if your app developer has an in-house social media team that you can hire (either for training or for retaining them as your social media person for a specified period of time).
Regardless of what your service, product, or business is, using social media is an amazing way to get your mobile application on the tips of everyone’s tongues as you get your app out into the mobile market.
